Create a Phone Number QR Code: Step-by-Step Guide

Making a dynamic QR code for your phone number just takes a couple of minutes so let’s take a look at the steps you need to follow to create your own Phone QR code with ConnectQR.

Sharing a phone number securely is becoming more difficult because there are so many ways to exploit this information. With a phone QR code, you can still give people the option to call you without additional security risks.

Making a dynamic QR code for your phone number just takes a couple of minutes so let’s take a look at the steps you need to follow to create your own Phone QR code with ConnectQR.

Step-by-Step Guide for Creating a QR code for your Phone Number:

1) After logging into your ConnectQR account, click on “Create QR” and then choose between “Dynamic QR” or “Static QR”. For now we’ll select “Phone” under “Dynamic QR”

2) Pick a name for your new QR code and enter it into the “Name Your QR” box. Add tags for your new code in the “Tags” box. These tags help you search for QR codes and others like it in the future.

3) Go to the “Phone Number” field and choose your phone number country code from the dropdown menu by clicking the national flag. Choose the correct country where your phone number is registered and simply add your phone number into the field. Hit ‘Save’ when you are done.

4) Done! You can now download the QR code in the file format of your choice (JPG, SVG, PNG) and use it immediately. Click on “Access My ConnectQR” edit or check the analytics for your new dynamic QR code!

5) You can continue to customise your QR code by choosing between “Customise QR Code” and “AI QR Code” under the “Additional Options” heading. If you select “Customise QR Code”, you can customise your QR code’s appearance and even add your logo to it. Our “AI QR Code” feature allows you to use AI tools to create a truly unique QR code quickly and it is available to paid subscribers only.

Things to Keep in Mind:

  • Choose the correct country code and enter your phone number correctly or you will have to edit your QR code later to get the details right. You can easily edit a dynamic QR code’s details but a static QR code cannot be changed once it has been generated.
  • QR code readability can affect its performance so make sure that you use appropriate colours. A good rule of thumb is to use dark colours for your QR code pattern and a light colour for the background so they are easily distinguishable by both people and cameras.
  • QR code size is another factor that can affect performance greatly because if it is too small, scanners will not pick it up easily. The minimum QR code size for printed QR codes should be 1 inch (2.54 cm).
